Welcome to SVYFL Tackle Football, home of the Hawks! We are a Pop Warner Tackle Football League competing in the East Coast Conference with potential opportunities to participate on both a regional and national level.

As an organization, we finished the 2019 and 2020 Tackle Seasons with a regular season record of 62 wins, and only 5 losses. This lead to an impressive 6 East Coast Conference Championships, 2 FL State Championships and 1 South east US Regional Championship!

All tackle football coaches and team moms are subject to a thorough background check. All of our tackle football coaches participate in the USA Heads Up program, which ensures they are educated to teach proper tackling techniques. As a result of this program, tackle football coaches are also given vital information about concussions and heat stroke and how to best prevent them. All of our USA Heads Up Certified staff make safety a priority and encourage the players to follow specific guidelines when it comes to the game of tackle football.

Tackle football is a competitive full contact sport. We, as Hawks, are a competitive league, and we strive to be the best in Brevard County and beyond. Our tackle football coaches are dedicated to their players, teaching them not only the game of football, but also other life skills that the game has to offer. Summer football practices focus on conditioning and skills assessments. The games that follow, typically take place from August through November.

Approximately half of the games will be played at Home in the Hawk’s Nest at Viera Regional Park. With all this time on the football field, it is common for there to be a sense of “family” among not only team members; but parents, siblings and grandparents.

We have six different divisions to offer our talented athletes:

6U: Ages 5/6 Unlimited Weight

8U: Ages 7/8 Unlimited Weight

10U: Ages 8/9/10 Unlimited Weight

11U: Ages 9/10/11 Unlimited Weight

12U: Ages 10/11/12 Unlimited Weight

14U: Ages 12/13/14 Unlimited Weight

All players will be placed at the sole discretion of the Commissioner based on age, skill and safety of the athlete. 

We are proud to be partnered with Head Coach, Tony Gulla and Viera High School, as a feeder program for their organization. The Viera High School Hawks football team serves as an incredible inspiration to our youth; so us being the SVYFL Hawks offers our athletes a chance to feel like they are an integral part of something much bigger than their individual football team.
